A Word from the Pastor
A stranger recently asked
me, "If you died today, would you go to Heaven?" What a
strange question to ask a pastor, but then I realized that he did
not know who I was. "Yes," I responded. "On August
12, 1977, in a small group Bible study I confessed my sins and
accepted Christ as my Savior." A faithful lost church member
was who I was, having spent the first twenty-one years of my life
hiding behind the badge of good works. Jesus set me free, and since
then the goal of my life has been to introduce men and women to the
Savior who changed my life. Just weeks after God saved me, He began
to nudge my heart with a desire to preach His Word. Over these
twenty plus years of ministry, my goal has never changed.
At Freedom, we enjoy good,
Godly, Christian music, but our emphasis will always be on the
preaching of the Word of God. "For the preaching of the cross
is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it
is the power of God." (I Corinthians 1:18) In a changing world
and culture the one constant is the Word of God. Come join us as our
lives are changed verse by verse.
In His Calling,
Pastor Jackson
