Meet Our Pastor

Our pastor graduated from Liberty Baptist College in Lynchburg, VA, in 1984. He and his lovely wife, Cindy have been married for 30 years and they have two sons, Andrew and Ryan. Andrew (age 23) is studying for the ministry, and Ryan (age 18) is a junior at Wayne Christian School.

Before coming to Freedom, he pastored the Bethel Baptist Church in Graham, NC. With a beginning congregation of 45 people, it grew to over 700 in his 18-year tenure. With a strong, healthy church God began to stir his heart about taking a smaller church. He left Bethel in 2002 to pastor Freedom.

Pastor Jackson has served as vice-president of Siloam Missionary Homes for the past 14 years and continues to be very active in providing housing and counseling to missionaries on furlough. He is also active as a board member of the Wayne Christian School here in Goldsboro. Most people describe our pastor as a man of passion who deeply loves God's Word and His people. His favorite title and ours to address him as is Pastor. When you meet him, we think you will understand why.
